It’s no stretch to say that oil is the lifeblood of all heavy and compact construction equipment. Regular oil changes are a critical part of preventative maintenance on any Cat® dozer, excavator, skid steer loader or other machine. Fortunately, an oil change is one service item that’s easy to perform yourself. Cat equipment is known for its accessible components that reduce downtime while performing oil filter and fluid changes, as well as other regular preventative maintenance tasks.

Hello, I’m Dave with today’s Quick Tip to ensure that your machine will run smoothly and that you’re more productive.
Now I know you’re busy and got a lot on your plate but it’s really important you check the fluid on your machine every day.
When checking and refilling your fluids, be sure not to introduce any dirt.
You can help prevent this by wiping down the area around the dipstick before checking fluids.
And wiping around fill caps before refilling.
That was today’s Quick Tip, thanks for watching.
You rely on your equipment to deliver performance and productivity when you need it. Preventative maintenance is the best way to improve uptime and extend the life of your fleet. Oil level checks and fluid top-ups are something that can be performed by your crew. But when it comes to more comprehensive preventative maintenance, it takes expert partnerships to ensure your equipment stays running its best.
